The day began with a Welcome address and company review from President/CEO Steve Leidholdt, VP Sales and Marketing Al Danklefsen, and Marketing/Event Coordinator Lauren Ross. Moving right into the keynote presentation “What’s New In Technology, and Why Should You Care?” Presented By: Patrick D. Scott from Avaya.

Following the keynote presentation guests got the ballpark food experience! Filling up on BBQ, desserts, and all of the home-style sides you crave with your BBQ. After we were filled with our ballpark favorites, breakout groups began. We had 6 breakout groups, and attendees were able to choose two discussions to attend. Breakout session were focused around:

$1,000.00  donation was made to St. Louis Charity The Bridge. Beginning in March we asked for nominations from friends, coworkers, and business associates for someone who spends their time volunteering with a charity or community cause. One winner was chosen from these nominations, and that individual received opening day  Cardinals tickets to the Champion Club courtesy of STL Communications. The winner also got to choose the charity that our donation would be made too! Executive Director of The Bridge, Kathleen Wilder joined us at the Technology Fair and accepted the $1,000.00 donation check.

We wrapped up the day of education and fun with tours of Busch Stadium, and drinks and snacks in the Champions Club! With a professional photographer set up on the field, we had a great time posing as “wanna be” baseball players!

Info-Tech Research Group has rated Avaya in the Champion zone in its 2013 Unified Communications and Video Conferencing Vendor Landscape reports. Being recognized in the top of the four rating zones reflects global strength and excellent value in these markets.  Avaya’s Champion zone ranking in video conferencing represents a significant move up in this vendor rating, due to strengths including a “strong focus on IP Telephony (IPT) and UC interoperability.” Other positive elements included:  “proven Scopia software, a unique iPad control app for high-end systems, desktop and mobile solutions, and Avaya Aura’s architecture, which should lead to rapid advances in the integrated UC experience.”

This is a free class designed to help both new and existing AVAYA CM administrators become more familiar with CM features, functions, and learn how to perform basic moves, adds and changes. This class is hands on; attendees will be able to program on a working system.

First Stop, The Bluegrass State!

However you say it, we enjoyed our time Tuesday and Wednesday at the National Rural Healthcare Association (NRHA) show and exhibit at the Louisville Convention Center. Thursday and Friday we took part in the Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) 84th annual convention, in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky. As we enjoyed the week in the Bluegrass State, we noticed a theme beggining to emerg and thus the subject of our first entry.

Booth #405 at the NRHA was the place to be! We played Bedpan Beanbags and captured all the fun using STL Communications Collaboration  Solutions. BOWLING

After clearing bedpans all day, we were hungry and ready to enjoy some great Louisville food. Of Course, we ended up at Fourth Street Live! A 350,000-square-foot entertainment and retail complex.We found a bit more than we bargained for at the Sports & Social Club. After our “hot brown” sandiwch we took advantage of the restaurant’s in house bowling alley. Unfortunately, our games were a bit rusty, as Lauren couldn’t even get close to breaking a 100. Our time at The Sports & Social Club was a fantastic time, with a great location. Thank You Louisville!

We’re in the heart of bourbon country!

Bourbon is a culture built by generations of Kentucky residents from as early as the late 18th century. To ensure the full Kentucky experience we filled our ” portable handheld devices” (glasses) with Angels Envy. It was a wonderful, smooth follow-up to a great meal at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse.
